FAIL: Nuffnang and HEAVEN Ice Cream's "SALT" Promo



What crazy mind would even have the heart to send out promotional emails to its members only for them to find out that they no longer have any chance to join the contest that they were just informed about and yet, there were several others who were informed at least a couple of hours before ahead of you.

In other words, we just received a useless email that we can only drool over and nothing more. Nuffnang and HEAVEN Ice Cream have recently sent me and my friend a similar email informing us of a promo that gave us false hopes because when we went to Nuffnang's website to submit our entries, we just found out that there were LOTS of Nuffnangers who were INFORMED 2 HOURS AHEAD OF US. How crazy can that get?! (Inside job, Isdachu?!)

I am not just sour graping out of 3 movie passes because I can even buy movie passes for all my friends if I wanted to. The reason why I am venting out my concern is because this is not how contests should be played. I believe in being fair about almost everything and I know for sure that this one is NOT FAIR. I have included some screen captures of the email I got from Nuffnang this afternoon.

Hello! ako din late na dumating ung email. pero kase adik ako sa earnings ko sa nuffnang at sa giveaways, kaya lagi ko check ung website ng nuffnang. kaya nakita ko agad.

Actually ganun ko din nakita ung nag giveaway sila ng GC ng KFC.

mahirap talaga umasa sa email lang. lalu na pag nagloloko ung yahoo mail. naku gudlak, minsan after a day pa dumating ung email ng friend ko from gmail.

Hello Betong, I got your comment on my site. I'm sorry to hear about what happened. But to tell you frankly, I'm new to Nuffnang and I don't even know how things work with them so it is impossible for me to be part of the "inside job" you're talking about.

I agree with Curious Mind, "mahirap talagang umasa sa email lang."

My work in a US-based IT company involves an email blast, which is part of our e-mail newsletter campaign so I'm kinda familiar of how errors happen not to note that we're paying large amount of money to the eBlast provider, which is happen to be among the top e-marketing providers in the US.

There were even times that I myself who made the e-Newsletter had to ask for a sent out copy because I didn't get it in my inbox.

I know where you're coming from with this one but that's what I'm sharing you is part of the reality that I myself experienced regarding e-Blast.

I don't know how Nuffnang works but I think an "inside job" with just free movie tickets involved is not something someone from the company would risk his job with.
